How Much Does Estate Planning Cost?
The following is a fee schedule for estate planning services involving non-taxable estates. Please note that these fees are only an estimate and may vary depending on the complexity of your unique circumstances. For example, if you have significant assets, a child with special needs, a blended family, or would like to utilize sub-trusts (such as trusts to protect children from divorce and creditors, or trusts for a disabled beneficiary), then the fee will be higher. Additionally, detailed, unusual, or complex requests may increase the cost of your plan. If you wish to visit our brick and mortar office, located in Boise or in Emmett, your fees will be based upon our traditional law firm prices, not the online prices. Why? Because a brick and mortar office has higher overhead, and we must charge higher fees to keep those doors open. Our online website provides a lower price for clients who are willing to use our secure portal rather than the traditional law office with multiple staff members, notaries, copy costs, etc. Our online clients are still welcome to visit us at the office, but will incur additional charges for those services.

** For our clients choosing a trust-based plan, we always provide instructions on how to “fund” the trust. Funding is the process of re-titling your assets in the name of the trust. Some clients prefer that our office assist them with certain aspects of funding, such as transferring real property or business interests to the trust or naming the trust as a beneficiary of life insurance. We welcome the opportunity to assist with our clients’ trust funding, and will quote fees for these additional services up front at the time a client requests this assistance.
